Our Objectives

The primary objectives of the District De-Addiction Centre (DDAC) are:

Prevention and Awareness

Conduct awareness programs in schools, colleges, and communities to educate vulnerable populations about the risks of substance use. Promote early prevention strategies to reduce the initiation of drug use among adolescents and youth.

Identification and Early Intervention

Identify individuals affected by substance use disorders through community outreach and peer education programs. Facilitate early referral to appropriate counseling and treatment services.

Comprehensive Treatment and Rehabilitation

Provide evidence-based medical treatment and counseling for substance dependence. Offer individualized and group therapy sessions, family counseling, and aftercare support. Promote Whole Person Recovery (WPR) through skill development, vocational training, and reintegration support.

Community Engagement and Capacity Building

Train and empower peer educators to serve as change agents within the community. Collaborate with district authorities, NGOs, and healthcare institutions to strengthen local drug prevention and treatment networks.

Monitoring and Evaluation

Ensure transparent and accountable management of funds and resources. Regularly monitor the effectiveness of interventions and adapt programs to meet evolving community needs.

Recreational and Support Facilities

Provide facilities for recreational activities, life skills training, and holistic well-being to enhance recovery outcomes. Ensure safe, supportive, and accessible environments for all patients and community members.
